“It’s a great night for rock and roll!” yells Jacoby Shaddix. The Papa Roach frontman is speaking to thousands of fans at New York’s Nokia Theatre Thursday, who just watched opening band Jet tear down the house with the same ferocity we’ve come to expect.
“They got some jams,” Shaddix admits, then catapulting into some of Papa Roach’s own jams – “Getting Away With Murder,” “She Loves Me Not,” “Scars,” and “Hollywood Whore,” to name a few.
“New York City, you motherfucking love that shit,” Shaddix said, following a performance of the band’s 2001 hit, “Broken Home.”
