Carlos Santana will begin a Las Vegas residency May 27 at the newly-revamped “Joint” at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
Santana is pegged to play roughly 36 shows a year, through a multi-year, multi-million dollar agreement with concert promoters AEG Live.
Dubbed “The Supernatural Santana: A Trip Through the Hits,” the stage will be designed by Frank the Plumber, who did production for Madonna’s Sticky & Sweet tour.
“AEG Live set the standard for major residency shows in Vegas with Celine, Elton, Cher and Bette over at the Colosseum, and now we are setting the standard for rock and roll residencies with [Santana],” said John Meglen, president and co-CEO of AEG Live.
