Details Emerge on Anthony Kiedis’ HBO Series

Independent film director John Sayles has been pegged to write Scar Tissue, the HBO series based on the life of Red Hot Chili Peppers singer Anthony Kiedis.
The show will focus on Kiedis’ life growing up in 70’s West Hollywood, where his father struggled to get into show business and dealt drugs to bands like the Who and Led Zeppelin.

“John writes from a real human place, and has already tapped into the relationship between young Anthony and his dad,” producer Marc Abrams has said.
