Mute Math, As Tall As Lions Close Out Tour in New York

“We’re glad we could end the tour in New York,” Mute Math frontman Paul Meany said Friday night at Nokia Theatre.

“My pants are ripped,” he then admitted to the crowd. “You did it, so you have to look at it.”

Meany’s energetic and vocally-stimulating show is probably what he’s best known for – second to his contributions to 2008’s Twilight, of which he composed original music.

On the tour with MM were the fiercely talented As Tall As Lions, whose breakthrough performances of the night were “Sixes and Sevens” and “Ghost of York.”

“It’s a very bittersweet ending,” said singer Dan Nigro, of the final night.

As Tall As Lions Storm the Bowery

With a sold-out gig at New York’s Bowery Ballroom last Tuesday and a new record on the horizon (You Can’t Take It With You, due August 18), Long Island rockers As Tall As Lions have a lot to celebrate these days!!

The boys played for nearly two hours in their home state Tuesday night, rocking jams like “Sixes & Sevens,” “Go Easy,” and “Breakers,” stocked with a full choir!!!
