Boys Like Girls Tear Up NYC

November 29, 2009

“Man I miss playing New York City,” says Boys Like Girls frontman Martin Johnson as the band gets onstage at Nokia Theatre Tuesday night.

And it would appear New York missed BLG back!
Hundreds of fans – many of whom started lining up around three a.m. – wrapped around the Times Square venue Tuesday, singing BLG tunes, sharing stories, and getting ready to see the band play with Cobra Starship, The Maine, A Rocket to the Moon and VersaEmerge.
“We just put this record out called Love Drunk,” Johnson announced during the show, before rocketing into a slew of new and old hits: “Thunder,” “Hero/Heroine,” “Heart Heart Heartbreak,” “Five Minutes to Midnight,” “Shot Heard ‘Round the World” and “Love Drunk,” to name a few.
Of course we brought back a killer clip: BLG’s balls-out opening number of Black Eyed Peas‘ “I Gotta Feeling” transitioning into “Love Drunk.”

Heidi Klum Walks, Black Eyed Peas Perform at Victoria’s Secret Runway Show

November 22, 2009

It’s a sexy night to be a New Yorker!!

Supermodel Heidi Klum, who gave birth to her fourth child last month, unexpectedly walked down the runway at the Victoria’s Secret Runway Show Thursday night.

“I felt great the night of the fashion show and decided last minute to walk,” Klum revealed, adding that, “I’m proud of being the curvy model on the Victoria’s Secret stage.”

We agree!

She looked beautiful!!

Other models on the runway were Miranda Kerr and Doutzen Kroes, but our attention was kinda stuck on 20-year-old Erin Heatherton (middle photo). Gorgeous face, cool outfit, and completely healthy girl!!

Black Eyed Peas performed at the show as well, with Fergie emerging as a hot green mess (bottom photo).

Don’t forget to watch the party December 1 on CBS!

Video: Black Eyed Peas Perform "I Gotta Feeling" at NYC’s Hudson Terrace

November 14, 2009

Only in New York, kids!

Poison Ivy went to New York’s Hudson Terrace Friday night and experienced the shock of our lives when the Black Eyed Peas “I Gotta Feeling” came on, and members apl.de.ap and Taboo jumped on the mic and started performing!!

Taboo came over and danced with us and event coordinator Madi Lager for the second half of the song, while we all screamed “Mazel tov!” to each other.

Mom would be so proud!!

Check out a short clip of the performance, below.

Black Eyed Peas Take Over Today Show

June 12, 2009

It’s been a great month of NBC Today Show concerts. And the summer is only getting started!!!

We’ve seen No Doubt perform for the first time in five years, New Kids on the Block cover Queen, and American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert rock Rockefeller Plaza for the first time!!!!

Perhaps most energetic of all though was the performance we witnessed this morning by the Black Eyed Peas!!

Fergie, Will.i.am & Co. fist-pumped their way through three excellent, high-energy jams: iTunes favorite “Boom Boom Pow,” classic hit “Pump It” and a new, Jewish-themed single “I Gotta Feeling.” (Sample lyrics: “Fill up my cup. Drink! Mazel tov. La’ Chaim!”)

Check out the fantastic, bouncy performance of the new single below. Bonus points if you can spot Poison Ivy in the audience (around 2:05)!!!!

Is Fergie Drunk???

May 15, 2009

Poison Ivy visited the Javits Center Tuesday night in New York for a Robin Hood benefit that featured guests like Oprah Winfrey and Jon Stewart, but it was Black Eyed Pea Fergie that kept our attention throughout the evening!!!

The Peas performed a highly energetic 30-minute set (including jams like “My Humps,” “Pump It” and “Boom Boom Pow”), but for some reason, Fergie Ferg kept doing some weird stuff during the performance!!!

First, she kept walking to the back of the stage and turning her back on the audience mid-show. Then, after a failed attempt at dancing, Fergie grabbed onto bandmate Will.i.am for support!!! Weirdest of all was when Fergie walked over to a stage light and started laughing and playing with it in the middle of the performance!!!

We’re not 100% sure, but there’s a strong possibility Fergie took something to ease her nerves before the show!!

Patron?!??

Moonshine????

Check out the vid and let us know what you think!

April 3, 2009

“Expect the unusual,” says founder Claude Nobs, of the 43rd annual summer Montreux Jazz Festival July 3-18 in Geneva.

Nobs has kept his promise thus far, as he delivered a killer lineup this morning that included B.B. King, Herbie Hancock, the Black Eyed Peas, and MF Lauryn Hill!

We forgot about her for a minute!!!

Hill’s last public appearance came in October 2008 at a book signing, but her last public performance was in August 2007 at a free concert in Brooklyn.

Cited to see what she’ll be like, after all this time!!!
