Boys Like Girls Singer Films "Thunder" Performance For Fan

We confess.

We can’t stop thinking about the amazing Boys Like Girls/Cobra Starship/The Maine concert Tuesday night at Nokia Theatre!

So much so that we’re going to post another clip for your viewing pleasure!

“[‘Thunder’ was] the first song we wrote together as a band,” admitted frontman Martin Johnson, before strumming into the first few notes.

Johnson was even so kind as to grab a fan’s camera from the audience and film the performance!!

Boys Like Girls Tear Up NYC

“Man I miss playing New York City,” says Boys Like Girls frontman Martin Johnson as the band gets onstage at Nokia Theatre Tuesday night.

And it would appear New York missed BLG back!

Hundreds of fans – many of whom started lining up around three a.m. – wrapped around the Times Square venue Tuesday, singing BLG tunes, sharing stories, and getting ready to see the band play with Cobra Starship, The Maine, A Rocket to the Moon and VersaEmerge.

“We just put this record out called Love Drunk,” Johnson announced during the show, before rocketing into a slew of new and old hits: “Thunder,” “Hero/Heroine,” “Heart Heart Heartbreak,” “Five Minutes to Midnight,” “Shot Heard ‘Round the World” and “Love Drunk,” to name a few.

Of course we brought back a killer clip: BLG’s balls-out opening number of Black Eyed Peas‘ “I Gotta Feeling” transitioning into “Love Drunk.”

The Maine Frontman John O’Callaghan Arrested

The Maine frontman John O’Callaghan was arrested after their concert Thursday night in Ft. Lauderdale for refusing to follow a police officer’s orders to get out of the street when a group of fans bombarded him.

One fan who witnessed the arrest wrote into Poison Ivy to tell the story.

“Around 11 p.m., after Boys like Girls performed, everyone went outside and John O was mobbed by a bunch of girls who wanted autographs from him. This took place in the road, next to the sidewalk. The [police officer] told John to get out of the road and to go onto the sidewalk or else he would be arrested. John was trying to yell at the girls in the nicest way possible to get onto the sidewalk so that he wouldn’t be arrested. The girls didn’t listen because they wanted to take pictures with him. John spoke back to the cop saying he wasn’t going to move. The cop then walked John across the street and pushed him against a tree and handcuffed him. All the fans ran alongside to see what was happening and could not believe what was going on. I only remember John saying ‘Are you serious?’ He was extremely upset about the situation and did not know why he was getting arrested. Neither did anyone.”
