Bruce Kills It at Super Bowl XLIII

February 2, 2009

“I want you to step back from the guacamole dip… put the chicken fingers down, and turn your television all the way up!” Bruce Springsteen shouted before a rocking four-song run at tonight’s Super Bowl XLIII halftime show in Tampa.

The Boss always demands your undivided!!!

Springsteen, who will turn 60 this year, plowed through “Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out,” “Glory Days,” “Born to Run,” and his newest “Working on a Dream” during the 12-minute set.

And he barely broke a sweat!

The choir-accompanied, fireworks-filled show was a nice change from last year’s dudfest with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Springsteen jumped into the crowd at one point and even into knee-slid into a live camera on accident.
“Is there anybody alive out there???” Springsteen screamed during the performance.
Yep. U!!!
