It’s a great night to be a New Yorker!!

Alicia Keys, John Mayer, Halle Berry, David Bowie, Iman and Coldplay all gathered at the Hammerstein Ballroom Thursday night to attend Keep A Child Alive’s 6th Annual Black Ball, which provides therapy for children with HIV/AIDS and their families.

So awesome!

After what appears to have been a very exciting meeting with daughter Apple‘s favorite band The Wiggles, Chris Martin decided to cover their song “Fruit Salad” at a Sydney concert in front of 21,000 people.

After racking up Grammys for Song of the Year (“Viva La Vida”) and Best Rock Album (“Viva La Vida”) tonight, Chris Martin‘s acceptance speech went something like this:

“We’re not the heaviest of rock bands, as you may have noticed. We’re more of a limestone kind of rock. A little softer, but just as charming.”
