Jo Bros Cover Art Hits the Web

April 22, 2009

Eminem isn’t the only one releasing cover art today!!!

The Jonas Brothers have released their cover art for Lines, Vines and Trying Times, due out June 15.

“The title is a bit of poetry we came up with on the set for the TV show,” Nick explained. “Lines are something that someone feeds you, whether it’s good or bad. Vines are the things that get in the way of the path that you’re on, and trying times, well, obviously we’re younger guys, but we’re aware of what’s going on in the world and we’re trying to bring some light to it.”

Eminem Relapse Cover Art Released

April 22, 2009

The cover art for Eminem‘s forthcoming record, Relapse, has hit the web.

And it’s kind of amazing!!

The photo, composed of crushed and smashed up pills, features an image of the rapper as well as a prescription bottle label that reads: “Mathers, Marshall, 8 Mile Road, Detroit, Michigan…Refills: 5-19-09…Prescribed by Dr. Dre.”

It’s basically Em’s bio!

Can’t wait to hear what’s inside of that pretty little package!

Metallica, Beck, Run-DMC Inducted into Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

April 5, 2009

It was a huge night at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland last night, as Metallica, Beck, Run-DMC, Bobby Womack, Little Anthony & The Imperials and Wanda Jackson were inducted.

What an eclectic group!!

Also turning up for the event was Eminem, who inducted Run-DMC with a moving speech.

“I still remember being in 9th grade when Tougher Than Leather came out,” said Em. “I skipped school to go get it on cassette. As soon as I heard Run’s House, it was pretty much a rap for me. Marshall Mathers became Eminem.”

Beck’s speech included a middle finger to everyone who ever stood in his way, Metallica reunited onstage with former bassist Jason Newsted, and the annual all-star jam was a cover of “Jailhouse Rock” (with Fontana, Beck, Wanda Jackson, Little Anthony and Spooner Oldham) and then The Yardbirds’ “Train Kept A-Rollin” by Beck, Jimmy Page, Flea and Ron Wood.

It was a night to be remembered!
