Hanging Out with Rachael Ray

May 1, 2009

Poison Ivy had one of the coolest afternoons ever last Tuesday when we were invited to hang out with Food Network chef (and rock aficionado) Rachael Ray during a taping of her Emmy Award-winning Rachael Ray Show!!
Our episode featured a recipe for crispy steak fajitas and an interview with actress Tracy Pollan (wife of actor Michael J. Fox), who plays Beth Holloway in Lifetime’s The Natalee Holloway Story, and will have a three episode arc on NBC’s Medium next month.
“I’m scared of that stuff,” Ray confessed during the interview, referring to Medium‘s focus on the supernatural.
Ray also was quick to confess why she was wearing a huge bandage on her left pinky during the entire taping!
“I took a nice chunk out [of it during a] 30 Minute Meals taping [over the weekend],” Ray said nonchalantly. “Secret ingredient: blood!”
The gal was comix!!!
Tune into the Rachael Ray Show tomorrow, 10 a.m. EST, to catch Ray’s entire conversation with Pollan, and don’t forget to look out for your very own Poison Ivy in the audience!!

Sandra Lee Launches Food Mag

January 29, 2009

Oh, Sandy.

Food Network “chef” Sandra Lee has launched a called bi-monthly cooking magazine called (what else?) Semi-Homemade with Sandra Lee.

Seems like the worst possible timing to start a magazine, S!!! Even if it is published every two months.
The rag reaps the same name as her Food Network TV show, and will likely follow the same format:
Open a box of cereal, pour milk, add spoon. Semi-homemade! Now let’s work on the tablescape.
“Everyone thinks I want to be on TV, but not so much,” the Food Network star said during Wednesday’s press conference at the Empire Hotel Rooftop in New York.
Now I wonder why everyone would think that….
