It’s Whitney bitch!!!!

Whitney Houston made her triumphant return to television on ABC’s Good Morning America Tuesday. And while the actual episode will air tomorrow (Wednesday, September 2, at 8A), thousands of New Yorkers learned firsthand today that the queen of the night is back!!!!

Houston played four songs – “I’m Every Woman,” “Million Dollar Bill” (written by Alicia Keys), “I Turn to You,” and one song exclusively for the crowd – “My Love is Your Love.”

Of course Poison Ivy brought you a clip of the old school jam. You won’t find it anywhere else!!

Kelly Clarkson Takes Central Park

August 2, 2009

Decked out in all black and a shiny leather top, Kelly Clarkson took center stage Friday morning in Central Park for the Good Morning America concert series on ABC!

Clarkson belted out her latest hit, the controversial “Already Gone,” along with power jam “Walk Away,” and a special version of “Since U Been Gone” for the crowd.

Check out a clip of “Already Gone,” above.

Jonasmania at the Trump Hotel!

June 11, 2009

It’s a fantastic day to be a New Yorker!!!!

Especially when, on a bored Wednesday, you’re walking by the Trump Hotel in Central Park and the MF Jonas Brothers are hanging outside!!!!

“Nice thighs!” one fan screams to middle bro Joe Jonas, who recently made waves with this tightly-outiftted version of “Single Ladies” by Beyonce.

“Thanks,” Joe says. You can tell he gets this comment ten times a day.

“I’ve been here since the morning,” the girl later tells me. It’s now close to 11 p.m. But she’s not alone. 50 or so girls are standing behind her, rehearsing what they’ll say when Kevin comes over. Or what they should have said to Nick. Or how early they’ll be getting up on Friday for the bros Good Morning America appearance.

It’s Jonasmania.

And the boys?

Completely cool.

They take a minute to say hi to fans, snap a photo with Poison Ivy, and then head upstairs to their rooms to zonk out for the night.

“Nope,” says Nick, when I ask if he’s heard of raging NYC entertainment blog Poison Ivy.

“But it sounds familiar!” he jokes, alluding to the Jo Bros recent single with the same name.

One day, boys.

Stay tuned!

Obama Apologizes for Special Olympics Joke

March 20, 2009

On last night’s Tonight Show, President Barack Obama compared his poor bowling skills to that of an athlete with disabilities.

“It was like the Special Olympics or something,” Obama said, citing a recent score of 129.
Realizing what he had said, Obama immediately phoned chairman of the Special Olympics Tim Shriver after the show and apologized for his words.
“He apologized in a way I think was very moving… very sincere,” said Shriver on Good Morning America Friday.
“Words hurt, words do matter,” Shriver added. “[But] he thinks that the Special Olympics are a wonderful program that gives an opportunity to shine to people with disabilities from around the world.”
