Lady GaGa and Jay-Z have officially been added to the already superb list of artists performing at the MTV Video Music Awards September 13!

The list currently includes Taylor Swift, Green Day, Muse and Pink.

Green Day Announce Secret NYC Gig

Green Day have just announced a secret show at New York’s Webster Hall May 19, in conjunction with MySpace Music.

The List concert series will hook up 300 of Green Day’s biggest fans with tickets to the show, which takes place just a few days after their latest release 21st Century Breakdown hits stores May 15.

American Idiot, the Musical

Green Day‘s 2007 Grammy Award-winning record American Idiot is being written into a musical by frontman Billie Joe Armstrong and “Spring Awakening” director Michael Mayer.

The record, which sold more than 12 million copies, is described as “a nihilistic coming-of-age story drenched in post-9/11 paranoia.”

“American Idiot follows disaffected contemporary American Everykid Jesus of Suburbia as he morphs into violent, drug-dealing alter-ego St. Jimmy and falls for anarchist girlfriend Whatsername.”

New Green Day Record in May

First, Blink-182 reunite, and now Green Day want a piece of the action!!

The other 90’s punk band confirmed on their official site today that “Green Day is on the verge of a 21st Century Breakdown,” confirming the name of a record they’re releasing this May.

About time, boys!!!
