Actress Natasha Richardson has died following a tragic skiing accident Monday that left her in critical condition. She is survived by hubsand Liam Neeson, mother Vanessa Redgrave and sister Joely Richardson.

Neeson’s publicist Alan Nierob has released a statement:

“Liam Neeson, his sons, and the entire family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Natasha. They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time.”

Natasha Richardson Not Expected to Survive after Skiing Accident

Natasha Richardson is critically injured and not expected to survive after a skiing accident Monday in Canada, the New York Times is reporting.

The actress, 45, tragically tumbled down the bottom of a beginners’ slope during a ski lesson near Montreal, and was reportedly not wearing a helmet.

Richardson walked away from the accident unscathed, but it was the internal brain damage that caused her critical injury.

The actress is the wife of actor Liam Neeson, daughter of Vanessa Redgrave and sister of Joely Richardson.
