Def Leppard, Keith Urban and Sugarland have been recruited to play the 2009 CMT Awards, which will take place June 16 in Nashville.
Toby Keith, Rascal Flatts, Taylor Swift and Brad Paisley are also scheduled to perform.

Carrie Underwood earned top honors at the 44th Annual Country Music Awards Sunday in Las Vegas!!
The country diva was named entertainer of the year, breaking Country legend Kenny Chesney‘s four-year winning streak.
“I’ve had a lot of good moments in the past four years. This one takes the cake,” Underwood gushed during her acceptance speech.
Also earning awards were Taylor Swift for album of the year for Fearless, Rascal Flatts for top vocal group, Sugarland for top vocal duo, Julianne Hough for top new female vocalist, Brad Paisley for top male vocalist and Trace Atkins for single of the year for “You’re Going to Miss This.”
