Elton John’s Last Stand

April 24, 2009

It’s been five amazing years, but Elton John finally played his last Red Piano show at Las Vegas’ Caesars Palace Wednesday night.

We knew this day would come, we just didn’t know it would come so soon!!!
“I really have enjoyed every single moment of this engagement,” John told the final audience, before diving into the show’s opener “Bennie and the Jets.” John continued with his biggest hits throughout the night, including “Rocket Man,” “Candle in the Wind,” and a finale of “Your Song.”
“One day I might even see you in Vegas, OK?” John said, before walking offstage.
“But until then, I love you.”

February 4, 2009

How can this be????
Elton John‘s wildly successful Las Vegas show, “The Red Piano,” will close its curtains April 22. The show, set in Caesars’ Palace Colosseum theater, celebrated its five-year anniversary this month.
Isn’t there a petition or something we can sign??
If we don’t, you know they’re going to replace him with Celine!! Or worse!!!
