Rare Beatles, Stones Images Found

March 5, 2009

Over 50 rare photos of the Beatles and the Rolling Stones have been discovered by former tour manager Bob Bonis, including this one of a backstage haircut from Keith Richards to Charlie Watts.

The intimate shots, which include the two bands hanging out together, were discovered in Bonis’ old duffel bag after 45 years!!!
Bonis will be putting the photos on display at an exhibit titled “The British Are Coming: The Beatles and The Rolling Stones 1964 – 66.” at New York’s Not Fade Away Gallery.
“In more than 20 years as a rock archaeologist I’ve never come upon a discovery of this magnitude,” the Gallery’s director said.

Prince Covers Beatles at Oscar Bash

February 24, 2009

It was around two in the morning Monday when Prince treated guests at his annual post-Oscar bash to a two hour concert, chock full of covers like The Beatles “Come Together” and the Rolling Stones‘ “Honky Tonk Woman.”

“I’m here and you’re here, that’s all we need to start a party, right?” Prince asked, before diving into a shockingly awesome version of Jimmy Eat World’s “The Middle.”
The party’s guest list included everyone from the Oscar-nominated Taraji Henson to Alicia Keys, to any Prince fan who braved the admission line with $100 in their wallet.
Way to throw a party, P!
