Top Chef Hits New York

March 28, 2009

It’s a great day to be a New Yorker!!!!!

Top Chef’s 21-city tour hit the big apple this weekend, offering on-site tastings, food talk and advice from Season 5 winner Hosea Rosenberg!
After whipping up some curry shrimp with jasmine rice for visitors, Rosenberg dished about his plans for the future.
“I will open a restaurant, but probably not until the end of the year,” the chef said. “I want to do food festivals and events like this first.”
Lucky for us!

Padma, the Face of Carl’s Jr.?

Top Chef‘s Padma Lakshmi is the new face of Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s burger joints, and doesn’t hesitate for a second to film a softcore porn in her new ad for them.

Check it out above.
We’re know what we’re having for dinner!

Nice, Jewish Boy

February 26, 2009

Hosea Rosenberg, an executive chef at Jax Fish House in Boulder, Colorado, was named Top Chef Wednesday night on Bravo’s hit cooking show.

“This is one of the biggest accomplishments of my life,” Rosenberg gushed. “I know a lot of people are going to be proud of me for this. I could not be happier.”
The chef defeated runners up Carla Hall and Stefan Richter by creating a three-course meal of sashimi, scallops and foie gras, and a loin of venison.
Can’t wait to see what his next move is!

Padma Lakshmi Creates Food-Inspired? Jewelry Line

January 28, 2009

Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi has created a line of fine jewelry she says is “inspired by… seeds and pods, like cardomom, lentils, and cloves.”
Interesting!
Indeed the line does look like food, and one pair of chunky earrings borderline infringes a pearl onion.
Me hungry.
The jewels will launch in May at Bergdorf Goodman, and don’t forget to alert your CC companies. This grocery trip will cost anywhere from $600 to $6,600!
