Kate Beckinsale: Sexiest Woman Alive?

October 5, 2009

Don’t get us wrong: Kate Beckinsale is a fox.

The woman is beautiful, looks just as good at 36 as she did at 26, stole our hearts during Serendipity, and has a freaking ten-year old. We acknowledge.

But Sexiest Woman of 2009??

Really???

When was Beckinsale’s last decent movie? 2006’s Underworld? We know it wasn’t the nightmare that was Click.

To boot, her most recent film, Whiteout, was called a “studiously mediocre little thriller” by the New York Times. Ouch!

So what’s the deal??

We think Sexiest Woman Alive should have gone to someone sexy AND relevant. Maybe someone who’s “sexiness” actually got some decent screentime this year!

Our vote would have been the stunning Diane Kruger, who was unapologetic and beautiful in Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds. Megan Fox, too, was more deservant of the title than Beckinsale, although we find her acting talents a little less applaudable.

What do u think?

Who deserved the Sexiest Woman Alive title in 2009???

Shia the Greaseblob

July 31, 2009

Transformers actor/resident asshole Shia LaDouche was snapped picking up supplies at an Ace Hardware this week….

Now normally we wouldn’t give this greasy dumbass any press, but the opportunity with this photo was too good to pass up!!

Check out the sign next to Sir Greasy and his friend: “Used Oil Collection Center”!

Sounds about right!!!

The Fray Talk Transformers

July 15, 2009

“We’re pretty pumped about this record,” says The Fray frontman Isaac Slade. And why wouldn’t he be?

The band’s last record, How to Save a Life, sold over two million copies, earned them two Grammy nominations, and got them a killer gig – headlining NBC’s Today Show at Rockefeller Plaza Friday morning.

The boys played “How to Save a Life,” along with new jams “You Found Me” and “Never Say Never,” which soundtracked Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

“They sent us an e-mail… Do you want your song in the Transformers movie?” joked guitarist Joe King about the opportunity.

Life’s tough!!

Linkin Park Penning Song for Transformers Movie

April 28, 2009

Linkin Park rapper Mike Shinoda has taken to his blog to announce Linkin Park’s new song for the upcoming Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen movie.

Writes Shinoda:

BREAKING NEWS: Linkin Park will be working on the score for Transformers 2: Revenge Of The Fallen.

Although I wasn’t at liberty to say it before, the song I’ve been referencing here on mikeshinoda.com in the past few weeks…is actually being done for Michael Bay’s new Transformers film, due out June 24th.

In addition–and probably ever cooler–we have been offered the unique opportunity to help score the film. The song we wrote is being used as one of the themes, and we will be writing various interpolations on that theme, and trying out some other thematic ideas as part of the (very large) team scoring the film.

My bandmates and I are working with award-winning film composer (and resident ass-kicker) Hans Zimmer. We met with Hans last week, and heard some of the incredible things he and his guys have done with our new song. In the next few days, we’ll be doing some work with Hans’ amazing writing and recording crew.

Michael Bay has shown us select scenes from the film, and it looks incredible. I can’t wait for you to see it.

We can’t wait either!
