Brittany Murphy Dead at 32

Actress Brittany Murphy died Sunday morning of cardiac arrest. She was 32.

Murphy was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after her mother reportedly found her unconscious in the shower early Sunday. It is undetermined whether drugs were involved.

Murphy was best known for her roles in Clueless, Girl, Interrupted, 8 Mile, Uptown Girls, Just Married and Sin City.

A rep for Murphy released a statement Sunday afternoon: “In this time of sadness, the family thanks you for your love and support. It is their wish that you respect their privacy.”
